Non-destructive testing methods

In order to ensure the consistently high quality of our products, they are tested using non-destructive testing (NDT) methods. These testing methods are also used to optimize production (e.g., welding technology).

The main methods used are radiographic testing (RT), ultrasonic testing (UT), magnetic particle testing (MT), and penetrant testing (PT). In addition, advanced ultrasonic methods such as TOFD or phased array can be used at the customer’s request.

These tests are carried out almost exclusively with our own equipment and our own testing personnel. Direct beam and omnidirectional beam X-ray systems from 160 keV to 450 keV are available for radiographic testing.

Our NDT employees are doubly qualified and certified in accordance with EN 374 / ISO 9712 (Level 2 and 3) as well as SNT-TC-1A (Level II and III).
