Design by rule – Design by analysis
LEFFER has its own department for calculating pressure vessels and heat exchangers in accordance with relevant international regulations:
- EN 13445
- ASME VIII Div. 1 & Div. 2
- PD 5500
- AS 1210 (incl. Supplement 1)
- AD-2000 information sheets
- CODAP
- etc.
Calculations are performed both according to “design by rule,” using mainly proprietary programs, and according to “design by analysis.” The finite element program ANSYS® is used for the latter.
